ATP General Meeting
June 22 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Guest Speaker: Thanaa Salloum
Salloum was born to a poor Catholic Christian family in the countryside of Homs, Syria. Her dad was a small private builder and a farmer, when he did not have any building projects, which happened too often. Her mom was a farmer and an education enthusiast.
Thanaa was the first of five children. She and her siblings were always A plus students. Two became medical doctors and one chose to get married rather than pursue education and the youngest became a distinguished radiology technician who owned his own center and trained technicians around Syria on the new radiology systems.
Salloum earned her BA from Homs University and MA from the Grand Canyon University and has been teaching for the last fourteen years beginning 2004. She started a real estate business in 2016.
Thanaa has a lovely family. She and her husband have two beautiful daughters who are sixteen and fifteen. In January of 2009, they moved from Los Angeles and made beautiful Ahwatukee their home.
Those who meet her and know that she is Syrian say aren’t you lucky you are here safe? Her answer always is “I feel rather guilty for being safe while my parents, brothers, sister and their beautiful children and my friends are NOT”.
